Sagamore’s study of Indiana-Mexican economic connections led to several further studies of the economic impact on Indiana of immigrants from Mexico and Latin America. Several of these studies have helped clarify what is at stake for the state’s economy as legislators have considered legislation that would penalize undocumented immigrants.
