A Conversation on Community Renewal

A Conversation on Community Renewal

Thursday, July 28, 2011, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Bill Benner, senior associate commissioner for external affairs for the Horizon League, recently penned an editorial for the IBJ: "Will Super Bowl Truly Leave a Lasting Legacy?" Mr. Benner addresses this question at this "Conversation on Community Renewal."

Joining Mr. Benner were members of Indianapolis' community of corporate citizens: Tina Walters, VP of Corporate Responsibility for JP Morgan Chase (Indiana and Kentucky), and David Champ, VP for State Farm Insurance (Great Lakes). They shared the lessons they have learned through their involvement in the Super Bowl Legacy Project and how businesses can use their resources to impact struggling communities. Additionally, key volunteers spoke on their personal experiences serving on Indianapolis' Near Eastside.

Sagamore president Jay Hein and Office Depot Foundation president Mary Wong will be leading the conversation.
