Regional Forums

Sagamore Institute is working on a  series of regional forums for the Fall of 2009 across the state of Indiana.  The focus of each forum will be tailored to each region, but in general will aim for the following outcomes defined by a recent study conducted by Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates for this effort:

  • Increase proactive understanding and response to rapid change;
  • Increase focus on the future and innovation;
  • Increase the level of aspiration for excellence in all sectors; and
  • Reduce the perceived tensions between globalization and local cultures and business climates.

A working framework for the 2009 Regional Forums is as follows:

  • Global and National Economic Overview
  • Regional Economic Clusters and Trends
  • Regional strategies for Economic Growth, Education, Healthcare, and Government Efficiencies
  • Breakout Sessions with Regional Committees
  • Next Steps
