Recipients of the Sagamore of the Wabash award have displayed an impressive public spirit and deployed their considerable talent towards making Indiana great. When Indiana’s most distinguished citizens receive their award, they read a parchment that calls them to serve as counsel to the governor.  Sagamore Institute is honored to host the Society of Sagamores to facilitate this exchange with the governors and to join with other leading citizens to tackle the state’s next round of challenges.
