Dr. Ealy earned her B.S. in education from Auburn University, her M.A. in history from the University of Alabama, and her Ph.D. in the history of moral and political thought from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ealy currently serves as president of Thinkitecture Inc., a consultancy that promotes the transformative work of philanthropy and the volunteer sector. She is also the founding chairman and acting C.E.O. of Project K.I.D. Inc., a public charity that provided disaster child care services in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Ealy is also a Senior Fellow of the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, a trustee of The Philadelphia Society, and a founding director of Sagamore. At Sagamore, she worked with Scott Truex to evaluate disaster relief efforts, specifically the Volunteer Florida Foundation.

Eugene B. Habecker

Eugene B. Habecker, served as president of Taylor University from 2005-2016. Prior to coming to Taylor, he served in presidencies at the American Bible Society (1991-2005) and Huntington University (1981-1991).  
 
He holds degrees from Taylor University (BA), Ball State University (MA), and the University of Michigan (PhD). He's also a graduate of Temple University School of Law (JD) and is an inactive member of the Pennsylvania Bar. He's also a graduate of the Institutional Educational Management (IEM) program at Harvard University. He is the recipient of nine honorary degrees and has traveled in more than 90 countries.  He and his wife Marylou have three married children and seven grandchildren.
 
Dr. Habecker has authored numerous professional articles and five books: Affirmative Action in the Independent College (1977); The Other Side of Leadership (1987); Leading with a Follower's Heart (1990); Rediscovering the Soul of Leadership (1996) also published in Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin; and The Softer Side of Leadership (forthcoming, 2018). He is also the editor of two other books - Fresh Perspectives: A One-Year Devotional Book (2006) and Fresh Perspectives: A One Year Devotional Book, Volume Two (2015).
 
Dr. Habecker's focus at Sagamore includes Capacity Building and Leadership Development.
