Sagamore Policy

 pol·i·cy

ˈpäləsē/

noun

a course or principle of action adopted or proposed by a government, party, business, or individual.

The textbook definition of policy is a deliberate system of principles to guide decisions and achieve rational outcomes. As a think tank, Sagamore is in the business of such policymaking. We advise government officials, conduct research, and educate the citizenry on the leading issues of the day. But policy extends far beyond government. We need better thinking and better systems in the marketplace, civil society, and all aspects of life. Indeed, public policy is the business of all the public and the portfolio below reflects our scholars’ wide-ranging engagements to create a better society.

Our activity ranges from national security to innovation in the classroom and from agricultural improvements in Africa to neighborhood revitalization across the states. What unites all this activity is a commitment to problem-solving over ideological debate and systems change to turn best practices into scalable solutions.
