OCEAN Programs Luncheon
Equipping Entrepreneurs to Impact the World
On April 8, 2019, Sagamore Institute hosted a luncheon with Scott Weiss, founder of OCEAN Programs based in Cincinnati. OCEAN was founded to increase the awareness of God by building into entrepreneurs. It is a non-profit that serves entrepreneurs by providing access to training, community, and a foundation of faith on which to launch new organizations. Mr. Weiss shared OCEAN’s inspiring “origin” story and summarized three key products of the program.
Scott Weiss currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of OCEAN Accelerator, Inc., which operates both a hi-tech startup accelerator (OCEAN) as well as a training program designed for lifestyle entrepreneurs (Unpolished). Each program offers inspiration, training, mentors, and events to over five thousand entrepreneurs in the region, enabling them to enter the marketplace with skills to create measurable social and economic change in the community.
Scott serves on four company advisory boards and mentors many of the region’s most seasoned entrepreneurs, sharing his deep experience and insights in capital markets. Prior to OCEAN, he served 22 years in C-Suite roles at brands including Evenflo, Clorox and P&G. Scott has lived and worked on three different continents and is an active leader in men’s groups at Crossroads Church.
